BOLD- the only way to live life

I am officially half way to retirement age at 32.5 years old. I still feel young except for the sound of my overly abused knees as I traverse stairs. But at a half way mark in my life, I’m asking myself some pretty intense questions about life and how I’ve lived it.

I have chosen to squeeze less out of each day, opting to make the things I do more significant rather than doing more insignificant stuff. Over the last month, I’ve been searching for more God honoring ways to live my life.

My conclusion is that I need to continue loving and serving God with the greatest boldness . Full throttle bold. Warp speed bold. Starbucks dark espresso blend bold. Ear drum bursting screaming in St. Peter’s Bascillica bold. Unicycle on a tightrope over Niagra Falls bold. Rosa Parks refusal to go to the back of the bus bold.

In being bold, you alienate some, inspire others, and I believe live out your God ordained destiny here on earth. This is my personal devotion right now and I am sharing it this month at Life Pointe. I invite you to join me on that journey to know the boldness of God personally.

    Good for you, Travis!

    Good for you!

And as one who is farther along life’s journey (I probably won’t ever retire)….I am asking the Lord to show me how I should be and what I should be in 2006!
