This passage came up over breakfast on Friday with Tom Sterbens, pastor at New Hope in Seveirville, TN. I’ve heard it a million times including at our breakfast. But, it never resonated in my soul like it did last night when I was reading James.
- For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. James 2:13
The power of God’s mercy is elevated and the strength of his judgment is diminished when we express mercy to others. That is powerful.
