I Killed a Lion

Last night, I dreamt that I killed a lion. It was in a public place and we had to do it. It was a fight we had to face. I was with a couple other guys that were very familiar. But, I was so focused on this lion, I don’t remember looking at them. I had tunnel vision just like I’ve had in other incredibly tense moments where everything was on the line.
The cool thing (and frightening at the moment) is that we only had the tools from my garage. I actually killed him with a garden hoe. One of the other guys was slinging a rake…don’t think that worked out to well since the only rake I have in my garage is plastic.
It was incredible. My pulse was throbbing. I was sweating. There was no time to think.
After it was over, I realized it was just a dream. I closed my eyes to go back to sleep so I could get back in the dream. It started over again. This time I had better weapons. I shot him up with a 9 mm. I couldn’t sleep past 5:30…pretty stoked about facing some lions. I’m taking my garden hoe to the office.

Look out Life-Pointe office the Great Big Hunter is ready to RUMBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting. Last night I dreamt that I was a lion … a gentle lion.
What happened to the ‘kindler and gentler’ Travis from yesterday’s teaching ?
Travis,
You need to lay off the Cubano and Puerto Rican food late at night, stud man! It will cause those kinds of dreams….or at least that’s what I’ve been told. LOL
Phil,
You may have a point. I had a Churrasco at Casavana last night at 6:30.
Chris,
The kinder gentler Travis did well. I did hitch up the lion to my Nissan and drag him around the streets of Homestead in a glorious victory lap!
Satan goes about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour… keep him out of your garden you don’t want him messin with your woman!
That’s better than my last dream, I dreamed I returned to high school…I’m 45, that’s a nightmare!
LOL
You know what’s bizarre? This post is generating over 200 unique hits per day for the last two weeks! Go blogs about lions. It seems to be a rather popular Google search term.
The most popular search engine items for my blog all have to deal with food (amazingly enough) - Fortune Cookies, Funny Restaurant Names, and Casavana (still bringing in the hits). A close 4TH place goes to Republican Presidential Candidates. References to Monkey Jungle are also gaining in popularity. Apparently fans of Food, Politicians, and Monkeys are hitting up my blog. I can dig that.
On March 23rd, when you stood at the gate, it reminded me of Daniel in the Lion’s den. The people that were outside the gate were the lions, you stood steadfast and was unwavering you were victorous over the lions. Inside the children were separated from their parents so they were in the Lion’s den. When the children were separated from their parents it reminded me of the Berlin Wall and the separation of races. I just read this blog today but I told Kelly Sun. that you reminded me of Daniel in the lion’s den as you stood by the gate.
Travis, I was shocked to read your post because I have had dreams of warfare for sometime now. I think it has serious spiritual meaning.
The power and the glory of nature is wonderful and should be cared for.
I love animals. They taste great!
Travis, young men shall see visions and old men will dream dreams.
That’s funny…almost
