Sunday Wrap-Up

• Other Life Pointe Sunday run-downs: Chris and Phil and Phil 2.0.
• After being away from Life Pointe for a Sunday, it always feels good to get back in the saddle. Today was no exception.
• I came as the only representative from my family. McKenna threw up on me first thing this AM. Kourtney had a high fever too. So, the crew stayed home.
• Before we got into the message, I shared off the record, off podcast, off video some possible scenarios on how the baptism situation with the County could work out. I felt a significant sense of unity. I feel as though we’ve been prepared for this moment. The people at the park are good people. But, we need to fix a situation that we weren’t looking to be involved in.
• Jesse rocked the house today. He also rocked South Beach on Monday.
• They got 4 more bookings in South Beach clubs of the next couple weeks. Life Pointe South Beach? I haven’t heard of any church plants making it there. You never know…one day.
• I also shared a little about giving. We don’t pass the plate. But, our people have really been stepping up to give generously.
• At a time where a lot of non-profits are hurting financially, our finances are better than ever.
• That’s good because our mission is also bigger than ever.
• We shared specifically about the person and work of Jesus for the 5th Sunday in a row.
• We’re trying to anchor down our basic doctrinal positions.
• After church, we met up with about 25 people at the new members luncheon. Great stuff.
• Now, I’m ready to crash out on the couch and catch a movie with Kel…tempted to go across the street and play Guitar Hero with James. I’ve got to get that game!
