Being a Real Fan
When you’re a real fan, you pull for your team even when they have strung together a couple losing seasons. And, when your team is trailing 32-34 with 8:30 in the fourth quarter, you’re all in, fully vested, and expecting a win…even after a disappointing loss in the previous week. Commitment through the good times and the bad times.
The upside? Buying football jersey’s when things aren’t so hot is quite a bit more affordable.

I’m just glad Auburn lost. =) Anyway – look at the upside, you could be a Mississippi State fan (like me)…

Funny, I just bought a new Canes classic white jersey today.

I have a tough time dealing with this “losing”. I hate losing at anything and watching these loses adversely affects me because it seems like these guys don’t care and are not trying hard enough to win.. aaaaaaaahhhhh…. just my perspective from a fan who bleeds the school colors and hates to see them is this pitiful state.

Give em a chance—it’ll get better–to Kevin—Coach Croom will have those boys up and running soon…

Trav -
You were excitedly and unabashedly rooting for the Hurricanes and for Kimbo Slice this week.
I just thought of a fund raising idea that would bring in some mad crazy cash…..
Please inform us weekly of the teams and or sports personalities (UFC, golf, etc.) you really like and will be cheering for. We can all bet money on the respective opponents.
Cash cow the way I see it.

Sterbens,
I said Kimbo would beat Ken Shamrock. Shamrocks is as old as dirt…almost as old as you. I can’t help it if Kimbo Slice got whooped by a pup.

You know the old guy jokes really aren’t very nice. But it is true…I do have occasion to reflect on various activities across the landscape of my 50 years on the planet……serving in a special warfare unit…jumping out of planes…scuba diving…helocasting…mountain climbing…rappelling down mountains and buildings and out of helicopters…being ambushed in a fire fight as a police officer…high speed automobile chases…drug raids on The Outlaws motorcycle gang….bar fights, etc.
But I know you’re familiar with what I’m talking about……
……………You’ve played most of those on video games.
(LOL!!!!! Now that’s funny right there!)
Now back to my point….are you gonna let me know who you’re cheering for next week or not? There’s sure money there I’m tellin ya.
Oh yeah…..about the “Faithful Fan” thing… One of my favorite quotes from despair.com , “Winners never quit….Quitters never win…But those who never win and never quit are idiots.”

Tom,
You shouldn’t have stopped with your examples. You could have continued with:
“bar fights, Metamucil, eating milquetoast, pawing young waitresses in restaurants, shuffleboard, feeding pigeons in the park, and wearing an adult diaper.”

Dude…I’m laughing so hard I just wet my diaper!!!
I needed that on a Monday morning…….(the laughing part I mean).
